Re-Opening: Our Extra Safety Measures

Following the Prime Minister’s recent announcement, we’re feeling filled with hope and positivity for brides who are in the process of planning a wedding.

Very soon, The White Room of Minchinhampton will be opening its doors once again and we are so excited to be welcoming you back. Whether your plans have been put on hold, or you are just beginning the search for your dream dress, we’re ready with an open heart and open arms and would be thrilled to be a part of this special journey with you.

OUR MEASURES

We want your experience with us to be as safe and as enjoyable as possible and we are working hard to ensure the measures we are putting in place meet the government guidelines, adhere to the safety advice from WHO and also make sure your time with us is relaxed and comfortable. We have carried out a thorough risk assessment and will follow these precautions for all our appointments.

The boutique will be fully sanitised between each appointment

After an appointment, all worn dresses will be fully sanitized using a specialist disinfecting product and a process where fabrics are steamed to more than 200°C

White Room staff will wear masks and visors during appointments

Visitors will be asked to wear masks

2m social distancing rules will apply throughout the boutique*

Guests will be kept to a maximum of one per bride until 17th May (video calls allowed)

Hand sanitizer and hand washing facilities available for guests use

*When helping brides into dresses, the 2-metre rule will not be possible.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR GUESTS

In order to ensure your safety and the safety of other guests, as well as keeping our gowns and boutique in top condition, we ask just a few things from you which we hope won’t be too much of an inconvenience. Thank you so much for your co-operation, during which we know, has been a frustratingly difficult time to plan a wedding.

Before you arrive:

If you are showing any symptoms (such as cough, temperature, changes to sense of smell or taste) on the day of your appointment, please contact us to rearrange. Do not proceed with your visit.

Please ensure that you have showered, are wearing clean clothes and since then, have not been anywhere other than your home prior to making your visit to the White Room.

Please do not use fake tan and if you’d like to wear makeup, please keep it minimal.

What to bring:

Some socks, a hairband and a facemask (Don’t worry if you forget, we’ll have some spares of these items).

During your visit:

Please ensure you are wearing a face mask on arrival.

Please remove your shoes and place them in the basket just inside the entrance to the shop.

Please sanitise your hands.

We ask you to be mindful of the two-metre rule while in our boutique.

Only brides are permitted to handle dresses but please ask for permission before touching a gown – this allows us to keep track of the dresses that will need sanitising.

We reserve the right to cancel or not continue with your appointment if we feel you or your guests are not adhering to our guidelines.

Who can you Bring?

FROM 12TH APRIL

You will be able to bring one guest from your own household or support bubble. An ipad is available to allow you to video call other loved ones who are unable to attend.

FROM MAY 17TH

You will be allowed to invite a maximum of three guests of your choice, or up to four guests from two households. This allows us to work within the ‘Rule of Six’ while maintaining our high standard of service.

FROM 21ST JUNE

Government restrictions are due to be lifted and we will return to our usual allowance of four guests of your choice per bride. This is to ensure brides can really enjoy the space comfortably with their guests. It also keeps the group intimate enough for brides to feel confident and supported in the selections they make.

These dates are based on the information published by the government on 22nd February 2021 and are the earliest possible dates for these allowances to be made. If the government make any changes we will revise our guidelines.

Thank you, once again for your co-operation and support. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or special requirements.

Although our doors will soon be open for you to come and see us in person, we are still running our virtual appointments and will continue to offer them. They are a fantastic way for us to learn more about you and for you to discover more about our ranges before making the trip to see them. It gives us an opportunity to bring in new samples we feel sure you’ll love and prepare for your visit to the finest detail. This makes finding your dream dress simpler and more enjoyable!
