Gown and Glory is our new luxury occasion wear label – created by Sonia Burns and Zoey Jayaweera to give an extra special experience to mothers of the bride and groom.
At The White Room it is a passion of ours to make women feel confident and special for their wedding day. Gown and Glory, our original capsule collection, does exactly that – allowing mothers to enjoy a touch of luxury, with outfits for modern women that are adaptable and unique to them.
Gown and Glory is a beautiful eclectic collection in sumptuous silks and fine Italian fabrics. Each piece is individually made at The White Room by inhouse skilled seamstresses, which means we can adapt each piece with customised elements to compliment your unique shape and requirements.

You will be able to enjoy the sensation of wearing an individually tailored outfit, just for you, so it fits like a glove – Gown and Glory is in effect, a bespoke service from start to finish.
The new collection is the result of a collaboration with other local professionals, designers and suppliers offering the ‘complete look’ for your very special day all here under one roof at The White Room.
You can select beautifully designed and handmade hats, fascinators, bands and hair accessories by local milliner Gemma Sangwine. We also offer selected bags and shoes in a wide range of modern and classic styles in every colour of the rainbow to thoughtfully matched your outfit.
How do we do this?
A talented team, with a passion for creating a memorable experience for mothers of the bride and groom.
Designer Sonia Burns brings 30 years’ experience of design, tailoring and pattern-cutting. Gown and Glory garments are cut with precision, clean lines and attention to detail all produced under her watchful eye.
Zoey Jayaweera is a qualified stylist and colour-analyst who knows how to bring everything together. Creating outfits which compliment every woman’s figure and reflect their individuality.
Sonia is the Gown and Zoey is the Glory. They have listened to clients and created a luxury occasion wear label so that everyone can feel confident on their special day, all within The White Room.
